Angus was once part of the huge Tayside district, but is now established as an independent region, thriving on fishing and agriculture and offering the perfect escape from the more populous areas of Scotland. Excellent walking can be found in the Angus Glens, which reach deep into the Grampian mountains, while some of the country’s finest beaches stretch along the region’s red-cliffed coast.
Set beside the Firth of Tay is Dundee, ‘City of Discovery,’ from which visitors can explore the Angus region, the Kingdom of Fife and the inland delights of the Grampian Mountains.
